I recently bought some Jacquard paint. I'm in a high volume retail t shirt shop at an amusement park. I noticed that when painting license plates  they orange peel when cleared with rattle can clear. Anyone have this problem? 64959C8D-3919-495E-8C4A-40F61DFC2205.jpeg

What kind of clear are you using?  I haven't seen this, but I use Krylon exclusively.

I'm using standard Rustoleum gloss clear. I painted several different items
paper, plastic, metal etc... they all orange peeled. I was so excited about this paint as it performed beautifully.
Dense rich black that flowed and covered well. But i have to be able to paint plates. I'm going to try a different brand of clear and see if it makes a difference.

Hmm, yeah it sounds like the rustoleum has too much solvent in it.  I love rustoleum because it is so dang tough, but I think a standard polyacrylic would last just fine.
