I have A TON of Jacquard Textile Paints from a short interest with silk-screening and I'm just wondering if I could possibly use these paints instead of the dyes to "paint" my yarn. Has any one tried this method? Or do I just have to find someone that needs strictly textile paints and cut my losses? I really need help with this before I go and ruin some BEAUTIFUL handspun yarns!!

Good morning!

While there is nothing to prevent you from using the Textile Paints as a medium for coloring your yarns I wouldn't recommend it at all. The paints will create enough of a hand that your yarn would lose its soft fluffyness. The best product for painting yarns would be the Acid Dyes - terrific colors!
