I had bleach splattered on a pair of new black pants. Bleach was washed out quickly, but left light red marks. Tried dyeing, improved but not fixed, tried permanent laundry marker, it's just not absorbing the colour.

Thinking of trying the colour remover and then re-dying.

Has anyone tried this/I'm wondering if I will still end up with two different colours.

Using the Color Remover is your best bet. You'll want to be sure to move the item around in the pot during the process and that will ensure even removal of dye. As a little heads up - some colors do not remove well or completely and I'm not certain just how the Color Remover is going to work on the marker, but it sounds as if, at this point, it is not going to hurt to try.
