My niece and I are thinking of dyeing a white lace bolero jacket navy to match her bridesmaid dress. Can this be done with the acid dyes, and if so, with the immersion method? What would be best?

The type of dye you use will depend on the fabric content of the lace. If it is silk, then yes, Acid Dye is what you want to use. If cotton, rayon, linen or other plant based fabric then Procion MX or iDye for natural fibers is the dye to use. If the lace is polyester or nylon you will want to use iDye for Polyester.
