I had used red label & steaming method for my silk painting before. I am trying out Dye-na-flow for my new project. I fixed it by ironing as instructed. But I am afraid to wash it. How much of color loss (fading) should I expect? Have anyone tried both and compare result on using red label & steaming vs. Dye-na-flow?

As long as it was heat set according to the instructions there should be no bleeding or fading. We have used both products here at Jacquard and they have equally stunning results!

I was afraid to wash it too after using the Dy-na-flow paints. So after I heat set them, I didn't wash them for a week; when I did wash the silks every one was as beautiful as it was before.....

Hi Roxanna,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I would add that we recommend allowing your paints to dry for at least 24 hours before heat setting - it's not absolutely necessary, but it does seem to help the process a bit.
