Would it be possible to use the Procion MX Dye to dye satin shoes? If so what would the mix be? We are trying to match a dress and this may be the easiest/least expensive way.

You may want to take a look at the Dye-Na-Flow fabric paints. They are very simple to apply and will air cure over the course of a week or two for general wear.

Thanks. I think you are right. Now I just need to figure out a recipe for an avocado green or a light olive green. Any advice? It looks like the brass color might work. What could I add to either brighten it? A touch of white?

I'm afraid I don't have a quick & easy answer to that one. You might want to start with the 821 Brass or 822 Sulphur Green and add a little more brown or green to bring it the direction you are after. Playing and testing are my best suggestions.

Well at least I'm thinking along the right way.
