Hi there,

I am new to this forum.

I am trying to decide which acid dye to use to dye bright white ostrich feather trim an ivory/lightly off white color to match my wedding dress? I am sewing the feathers on to the dress, and the difference in color is very distracting!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Kristina.

Kristina,

You might want to start by experimenting with a low concentration of Ecru #600 or a very low concentration of Brown #635.

I am trying to do the same with white feathers to change them to the off white or "diamond white" color. How are you doing the feathers? by spraying or stove top dye or what? sorry if i sound stupid, but this is very new to me. thanks, geri

You would use the Jacquard Acid dyes, following the stove top method instructions found here: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/dyes/aciddye/instructions2.php
