Hi, I would like instructions on how to fix the colors using baking soda. I sent a package of colors along with baking soda substituting for Ash Soda which you recommended but I wanted to know when to add the baking soda. This was a gift for y 10 year old niece and I didn't want her to use Ash Soda.

Thank you for your help.

This is for Tie dye right?  You use 1/3 of a cup of soda ash per gallon.  You need 5 cups of baking soda per gallon of baking soda.

Yes. it is for tie dye. Do you soak the white t-shirts first with baking soda and then use the tie dye colors?

Did you mean 5 cups of baking soda per a gallon of water?
