Does the dye in the Jacquard Dye Kits contain Urea?

I know Soda Ash is included along with what else may be needed, but never saw urea

There is not Urea in the kit.  It is a really cool thing to use with Tie dye though. It can kick the color up a notch giving you 15-30% or so more intensity of color.  In general the longer the dye stays wet, the better the color.  The Urea actually helps the fabric stay wetter longer allowing the dye more time to do its work.

Another little thing that helps a little bit is adding a drop of soap to the dye.  One drop breaks the surface tension and acts as a surfactant to allow the dye to penetrate deeper into the fiber.  Dish soap works great, so does baby shampoo or our dye rinsing detergent synthrapol.

Synthrapol and Solar Fast wash are excellent for removing dye during your rinse step.  Solar Fast wash is my favorite for removing dye.

I did not think urea was in the mixed (pre-mixed with dye). Thank you for the reply, and the hint on using a drop of soap. I will try it next time.
