Hi all - I've just started using Dorlands Wax medium and really like the consistency of it. I want to use it with oil paints and use a lot of layers in my work. I assume I have to wait for each layer to completely dry before I can add another on top of it, my concern is if I heavily dilute the upper layers with turpentine will it affect the lower layers?.
Thanks for any assistance.

The Dorland wax really accelerates the drying process of oils but it will ultimately be vulnerable to being re-dissolved with turpentine even when dry. Do a test first to see what level of turpentine dilution is tolerated by the base layer before it turns into a solution again.
