New to this forum, and also new to this product.

Was wondering if someone could let me know what the process would be in using this product in the powdercoating process. Would make for some very interesting projects....

Do you mean powder coating with pearl-ex by using an adhesive to apply the pigments?

Traditional powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. We unfortunately don't have any products that you can do this technique with. What was it you had in mind?

Could one mix the pearl ex powder pigment into, lets say, a traditional white powder coating powder? I understand these pigments won't work in an electrostatic gun for powder coating on their own, but what if they were mixed with powder coating powder?

We haven't actually experimented with it for this type of application, but mica pigment is commonly used in powder coating. One should note that is almost always the smaller particle micas that are used-not the large ones.
