Are Versatex & Airfix used for the same purpose?

I want to paint leather coasters with Dye-Na-Flow or Angeles leather paints.

Would I need to add either Versatex or Airfix to the paint using either of these products to preserve the color and keep it from running because of condensation from the glass or spillage of liquids onto the coaster?

If so, which product would be best to use with Dye-Na-Flow and/or Angeles paints?

Thank you for your assistance.

They are actually the same product.  Airfix is intended to be used with the fabric paints, and versatex fixer is where the product originated and was meant to be used with Screen ink.  They are different packages of the same thing.

Neither paint will "run" without the airfix, it will make any paint that it is mixed with tougher though, so I would agree it is a good idea.

Hello,
Thanks so much for your quick response!
I'm confused. Doesn't Dye-Na-Flow have to be heat-set to be permanent?
Thanks

Yes Dye na flow should be heat set unless you add the airfix/versatex fixer to it.
