I have a linen/wool blend yarn I'd like to overdye to make it purple (right now it is a light, cool brown). Which Jacquard dye should I use? Thank you.

Normally, you would dye the wool with acid dye, and then the linen with a reactive dye.  Do you want to dye it in 2 steps?  The big problem is the wool.  You really don't want to subject the wool to high pH conditions the linen would require.  These 2 fibers are opposites on what they like.  The linen likes base and the wool likes acid.

The bets compromise is probably using a direct dye like iDye natural.  The purple is more half blue half purple ending with a red biased purple.  The violet is a pure color, so I would recommend that, but it is more violet, instead of purple meaning more blue leaning.

The other thing you could do is mix acid and direct dyes. I believe the color would still strike the linen in acid conditions.
